IN THE FACE OF WEAPONIZED STARVATION,
GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING

~ WHAT IS HAPPENING IN PALESTINE ~

In the Gaza Strip
Israel closed the border in March ’25, blocking all humanitarian aid including food into Gaza. With world-wide calls to end the blockade, Israel partnered with the US in May, to create the cynically named "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” establishing 4 sites where once there were 400 sites run by UNRWA. The GHA allows in a trickle of what is needed, requires starving Palestinians to walk miles, and compete with thousands for enough food to last  a few days, if they succeed at all. Worse, IDF and GHA personnel indiscriminately shoot those clamoring for food, with now over 1400 deaths. The UN has declared a man-made famine - more than half a million Gazans now facing imminent starvation, destitution and death. Plus Israel has accelerated its brutal bombing campaign, even bombing women and children waiting in line for water. Genocide!

Now Israeli operatives are executing an all-out military siege on Gaza City, which will forcibly displace some 1 million Gazans into “concentration zones” where they will be trapped, unable to leave, with the intention for Israel to fully occupy Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview on Fox News that “Israel intends to take control of the entire Strip, then hand it over to an unspecified Arab governing force” Ethnic Cleansing!

In the West Bank
While mass starvation characterizes Israel’s assault on Gaza, in occupied West Bank the Israeli military and illegal Israeli settlers are carrying out a massive coordinated campaign of ethnic cleansing. Israel Defense Forces have driven tens of thousands of Palestinians to flee their homes, leveled dozens of residential buildings, damaged critical infrastructure and forcibly displaced over 40,000 Palestinians, the largest wave of forced displacement in the West Bank since 1967.

Israeli operatives recently announced approval of 3,400 new settler housing units in the West Bank - the largest expansion (land theft) in decades. The land occupied by this new settlement will block West Bank residents from travel to East Jerusalem, and north and south between key West Bank cities and towns, making travel through the West Bank impossible, and also making impossible the eventual establishment of the once promised Palestinian state. This is no accident. ”Burying the idea of a Palestinian state is Israel’s specific intention for this vast settlement expansion,” according to Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. Ethnic cleansing!

U.S. Complicity
The US is deeply complicit with Israel’s accelerated genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Large majorities of Republican and Democrat Senators and House members repeatedly approve shipments of lethal bombs and military equipment, amounting to 69% of Israel’s weaponry. Most US elected officials remain silent, ignoring world-wide condemnation and US and international humanitarian law. Thus, US tax dollars pay for and enable Israel’s war on the Palestinian people. The blood of tens of thousands of Palestinians, and destruction of their cities, hospitals, schools and farms is on US hands.

However, there is evidence of a shift in support for Israel among American citizens and also among elected officials: A recent Gallup poll finds that the US citizens’ 50% support for Israel in November ’23 dropped to 32% in July ’25. And for elected officials, in a recent Senate vote to block the sale of weapons to Israel, a majority of Democratic senators voted to block the sale, for the first time in history.

Many “experts” express that only an exponential groundswell of opposition from the American public will have the power to reverse our government’s complicity with Israel’s brutal war against Palestine, and that only the US can hold enough power over Israel for them to reverse their cruel course.
